What the young reader will delight in is that each time the feathered friends pause to switch carrying the basket, a critter climbs in and helps itself to the picnic fare. Teddy Bears' Picnic

Authors: Jimmy Kennedy, Alexandra Day

In this cheery animation of the lyrics to John Bratton's lilting 1907 song, readers ages 3 to 7 enjoy a rollicking good time as various bear families bustle about their cozy cottages preparing for their picnic. A trek across beautiful patchwork-quilt landscapes, the hungry picnic goers arrive at their destination and spread out a lavish feast. This book gives young children alternating half-pages in order to enjoy both sides of a given situation. Very inventive fun.
