Cornbread twisters

Kids will go crazy over these sweet little twists. Add pudding or yogurt on the side for dipping.

Ingredients

2 cn dough (refrigerated cornbread twists, 8 oz can)
2 T butter
4 T chocolate (very small chocolate morsels or coarsely grated chocolate)

Instructions

Preset the oven temperature to 375° F.

Lightly spray a cookie sheet with a non stick cooking spray.

Unroll both cans of dough into 2 separate rectangular pieces. 

Seal any perforations in the dough with your fingertips.

Roll each rectangle to 12 in long and 7 in wide.

Brush each rectangle evenly with butter.

Sprinkle the chocolate evenly over both rectangles of dough.

Cut the dough crosswise into 12 strips each. Cut each strip in half. 

Twist the strips and place them on the prepared cookie sheet.

Bake 10 minutes or until the dough is a dark golden brown.

Allow to cool down befor serving.

Notes

For a more dramatic aspect, you could spread the chocolate in  bands.

For a different flavor, substitute 4 tablesponns of grated chocolate for 4 teaspons of  cinnamon flavored sugar.

Try making twsters out of puff pastry or cookie dough.
