Something about a round sandwich makes kids happy!

  • Two pita pockets filled with cooked meat and salad vegetables, served with sauce on the side.

Ingredients

4 ounces meat (cooked, best turkey breast)
1 cup lettuce (shredded)
1 tomato (sliced)
1 pepper (yellow bell pepper)
1 cup cheese (shredded Cheddar)
4 tablespoons dressing (ranch dressing, reduced fat)
4 pita bread (opened)

Instructions

Divide meat into 4 portions and fill bottom of pita shells.

Mix tomato, peppers and cheese in a bowl and toss with the ranch dressing until well coated.

Use this mixture to finish filling each pita pocket.

Yield
4 servings
Preparation time
15 minutes

Notes

Substitute deli turkey meat with sliced, cubes, ground... cooked chicken, leftover roast meat, etc... whatever is on hand.

As for the veggies, don´t add the ones you don´t fancy and use any sadad leaves or vegetables that you would add to a salad.

Add cheese or leave it out. Use the type of cheese you have.
