Teeny pizza just for me

This makes enough pizza for one child. Simply use more bagels and toppings of your choice for more children. Top the pizza with any combination of your choice of the usual ingredients. Suggestions are provided.

  • Simple pizza bagels with tomato sauce, cheese and veggies.

Ingredients

1 bagel (standard size, cut in half)
4 tablespoons sauce (tomato sauce)
1⁄2 cup cheese (Mozzarella cheese, shredded)
  toppings (your choice)

Instructions

Cut bagel in half and spread tomato sauce on each half.

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of both halves.

Top with favorite toppings and seasonings or let each of the children top their own for more fun.

Bake on low heat for about 5 to 8 minutes, just enough that the cheese starts to bubble and edge of bagel browns.

Notes

Top the bagel pizza with one or several, to your taste, of the following ingredients: tomatoes, mushrooms, diced green pepper, onion, ham, pepperoni, pineapple, seasonings as desired. Choose vegetable toppings for a vegetarian pizza bagel. Put a bit of everyhing for a fully loaded bagel pizza.

To make bagel pizzas for more than one kid, add one more bagel per child.

Use herbs such as oregano or basil for seasoning. It does not matter if they are dried or fresh, both work just fine.

In a hurry? Try toasting the bagel on a low setting on the toaster. Prepare the toppings in the meantime. Sit the bagel pizza then microwave for 30-60 seconds to melt the cheese.
