Toffee apples
Are you looking for a healthy party snack? Toffee apples have all the goodness of fruit with only a little sugar.

Instructions
Place the sugar and the water in a pan over low heat and heat until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the butter and maple syrup and bring to a boil.
Boil until the mixture becomes syrupy and thick. Remove the pan from the heat and add the nuts. Mix gently.
Pierce the apples halfway through with the wooden skewers at the stalk end. Dip each apple carefully into the toffee until well coated.
Place onto a lined baking tray until the toffee has hardened.
Notes
Try rolling the apples onto colorful sprinklers to make candy apples.
Toddlers may find difficult to munch toffee apples.
